Treatment
Disinfection and precise injection into the masseter muscle — on both sides, usually 2–3 points per side. No anaesthesia needed, well tolerated (approx. 10–15 min).

Immediately after
Socially presentable right away, no downtime. Slight swelling or redness is possible and usually disappears after 1–2 days.

Behavioural notes
Do not lie down and avoid intensive facial massage for the first 4 hours — otherwise no special restrictions.

A treatment in which botulinum toxin (Botox) is injected into the masseter muscle — the jaw muscle responsible for chewing and teeth grinding. This reduces muscle tension and lowers the pressure on the jaw joint.
In particular for jaw joint pain (TMD), teeth grinding (bruxism), chronic tension in the jaw area, tension headaches, as well as for aesthetic correction of enlarged chewing muscles.
The injection is well tolerated, anaesthesia is usually not necessary. Slight swelling or redness is possible and usually subsides after 1–2 days.
The treatment itself takes approx. 10–15 minutes. You are socially presentable right away — there is no downtime. For the first 4 hours, please do not lie down and avoid intensive facial massage.
We clarify this before each treatment in a thorough examination of the jaw and muscles. Only afterwards do we decide together whether the treatment is suitable for you.
