Frequent questions
What patients often ask.
No. A healthy, well-maintained wisdom tooth without symptoms can stay. We decide based on the specific situation — and not prophylactically without reason.
Noticeable swelling usually subsides within a few days. The mucosa is largely closed after about one to two weeks. Avoiding sports and resting during this time supports healing.
It is possible but not required. We discuss what is better for your situation and daily life — separately or together, depending on the position and your resilience.
Basic Swiss insurance generally does not cover dental procedures. Supplementary insurance may contribute depending on the policy. You always receive a written cost estimate.
