Surgical periodontal therapy is rarely the first step — and always a deliberate one. We start with thorough cleaning. Only when this isn't enough does a surgical approach become sensible.

Professional cleaning of deeper pockets and smoothing of root surfaces. This step alone often achieves the goal.
Gentle procedure
If needed: a targeted, gentle procedure. For defects, regenerative methods are used.
Aftercare & recall
Regular follow-ups and an adapted maintenance therapy secure the long-term result.

Surgical therapy creates a better starting point — long-term success depends on oral hygiene and regular maintenance therapy.
Basic Swiss insurance generally does not cover periodontal treatments. Supplementary insurance may contribute depending on the policy. You always receive a written cost estimate.
