A chronic inflammation of the gums and the periodontal apparatus, caused by bacterial plaque. It starts at the gums (gingivitis) and, if untreated, can spread to the jawbone and supporting tissue — in advanced stages the teeth become loose.
Receding gums are often the first visible sign of beginning periodontitis. Left untreated, this is not only an aesthetic problem but can lead to serious health consequences up to tooth loss.
After diagnostics and professional cleaning, the gum pockets are gently cleaned and treated with low-level laser therapy. The laser works in an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, biostimulating and cell-regenerating way.
